We weren’t meant to do this parenthood thing alone, and it’s so easy to become overwhelmed as a parent, especially without your “Village.” The value of commonality & peer support during pregnancy & the early parenting days, is really worth it’s weight. It provides great comfort when you find others who are going through the same experiences as you are, knowing you’re not alone.

From time to time, I host events and other ways to connect with your village. These events provide a space to meet other mums and dads in a similar life stage to you, where you can voice what you’re experiencing and ask questions free of judgment.

Two women sitting at an outdoor table, each holding a baby, smiling at the camera. The woman on the left has long blonde hair and is holding a sleeping baby in light-colored clothes. The woman on the right has braided hair and is holding a baby in a pink sweater. There is a plate with food and a cup of coffee on the table. A tent canopy is overhead, with a blurred background of a house and other people.

This is my favourite event of the year — and I cannot wait to share it with you.

Many families in Canberra find themselves without the village, and it can be lonely. I started this event with a simple goal: to create a genuine space for parents to connect with others, and to honour the incredible mothers in our community. Every year it fills my heart in the most beautiful way, and this year is going to be no different.

Come as you are. Bring your baby, your partner, a mama friend or your toddler. Sit down, order a coffee, eat something delicious and let yourself be surrounded by people who just get it. There’s also an enclosed playground on site for bigger siblings
